Light your tree
like a pro

If lighting your Christmas tree is a chore, try these tips to make it a breeze!
|
|
|
1. Instead of stringing the lights around the tree horizontally from bottom to top, it's quicker and easier to string the lights up and down vertically, working your way around the tree on all sides.
|
|
|
2. Add depth to your lighting by using 2x as many lights as it takes to cover the tree, and going around twice. On the first pass, hang the string deep in the branches to
|
|
|
|
illuminate the tree from the inside out. The second time around, hang the lights closer to the tips of the branches like you normally would.
|
|
|
3. Got droopy branches at the bottom of the tree? The vertical method of hanging lights can fix that, too! Instead of cutting off the branch and potentially leaving an awkward hole, pass the light strand beneath the sagging limb while you work from top to bottom, and use it to hold the branch at the height you want.
