A Hoerr Nursery Tried and True tree! Redpointe maple stands out with its bright red fall color. It boasts a broadly pyramidal form with a dominant central leader, reaching a mature height of 45 feet and a spread of 30 feet. Its strong branch angles and symmetrical canopy development make it an excellent choice for wind-prone areas and urban landscapes. While most maple trees are susceptible to leaf chlorosis, Redpointe is resistant to it, as well as to pests and diseases, ensuring it remains healthy and vibrant year-round.

American Elms were once the quintessential street tree across America, admired for their stately, vase-shaped form and attractive yellow fall color. These trees were highly valued for their ability to thrive in a variety of conditions, adapting to both wet and dry environments as long as they had well-drained soil. However, their popularity was severely impacted by the outbreak of Dutch elm disease. Fortunately, with the development of disease-resistant cultivars like 'Colonial Spirit', it is now possible to reintroduce this beloved tree, allowing us to once again appreciate its majestic presence in urban landscapes.

A Hoerr Nursery Tried and True tree, as well as a native! With its trademark peeling bark and graceful, fluttering leaves, the Heritage Birch is a timeless beauty. In the fall, it displays reliable yellow foliage, adding to its ornamental appeal. Among the birch species, the River Birch stands out for its exceptional disease resistance and adaptability. It is particularly resilient against the bronze birch borer and can tolerate clay soils and brief periods of flooding, making it an excellent choice for a wide range of landscape conditions.

The Armstrong Gold Maple, a hybrid of red and silver maples, inherits the best traits from its parent species. Its narrow, columnar shape makes it an ideal landscape accent, growing up to 40' tall but only 12' wide. Notably, this tree rarely produces mature seeds, minimizing the mess often associated with other maple varieties. The Armstrong Gold Maple is highly adaptable to various soil conditions and can tolerate brief periods of flooding, making it suitable for a wide range of environments.
