Pretty and Plentiful Pansies

Each year, we grow a special crop of pansies over winter, all ready to bring home in spring! If you'd like to enjoy some of these bountiful early bloomers but aren't sure about planting them outside, don't worry! Pansies are great at handling cold. They can withstand temperatures as low as 25°F without any issues.
If the weather forecast is calling for temperatures in the mid-twenties or lower, just give your pansies some water and cover them with something to protect them from frost damage. You can use a sheet, a tarp, an overturned pot, pine needles, or straw to loosely cover them. After the hard frost is past, you can remove the covering and keep enjoying the early spring flowers.
