Daylilies

*|MC:SUBJECT|*
Think daylilies are just for parking lots?

We think not!

Whether you favor a formal landscape or a carefree cottage garden, there's a daylily for you.

Read on, and learn how to get the most out of these amazing plants!
Flashy Flowers
There's a vibrant spectrum of daylilies, many with contrasting colors in a single flower. Striking bicolor options include Tiger Swirl (orange and red,) Raspberry Eclipse (purple with yellow ruffles,) Inkheart (cream and purple,) Mighty Chestnut (orange, red & yellow,) Sound of My Heart (pink and purple,) Monterrey Jack (yellow and red,) Elegant Candy (pink and red,) Ruby Spider (crimson and yellow, and 9" wide!)

Tiny Treasures
At 24"x24" or less, the dwarf reblooming daylilies can be tucked in among other landscape plants for extra color that lasts through summer and into fall. Look for Purple D'oro (purple,) Ruby Stella, Pardon Me or Double Pardon Me (red,) Passionate Returns (salmon,) and Happy Returns, Mini Stella, or Stella Supreme (yellow.)
Double the Color
If you love daffodils, tulips and other spring bulbs, but hate the unsightly yellow foliage that lingers after they bloom, add some daylilies to your daffodil patch. The daffodils will put on an early to mid-spring show, and then get covered up as the daylily leaves emerge to cover the withering daffodil foliage. Come summer, the daylilies will bloom in the same spot!
