Annuals: The Key to Color
Annuals are a great way to add color and life to any outdoor space! There's an annual to fit every need, whether you're looking to fill in empty spaces in your landscape, add a pop of color to your patio, or create a stunning container garden.
Annuals are a great way to enjoy plants in places it's otherwise impossible to garden. Whether you have sun or shade, you can use annuals to dress up balconies, porches, driveway planters, window boxes and hanging baskets.
If you need help figuring out which ones would work best for you, our experts are always happy to help!

The Finishing Touch
for Landscapes
Annuals can elevate a landscape from blah and boring to bold and beautiful!
In the shade, try tucking impatiens, coleus or caladiums in between staple perennials like hosta to liven up your landscape.
In sunny spots, skirt shrubs with spreading stunners like petunias and rock rose. For extra oomph, add contrasting foliage plants like sweet potato vine or annual fountain grass.
Because annuals last only a year, you can experiment with different looks and styles. It's like giving your landscape a makeover without the commitment!
With a little care, annuals can add a splash of color to any space. Regardless of your budget or your growing experience, there's an annual for you. Don't be afraid to experiment, and have fun!

Homegrown Veggies & Herbs
Our seed-grown veggies and herbs are available now, and today we’d like you to meet Mia, the person behind these very special plants.
Mia inherited the “green thumb” gene from her grandparents.
When she started gardening herself (pre-internet,) she read every gardening book she could get her hands on like a novel, cover to cover!
She and her husband bought an old Moravian stone farmhouse and a glass greenhouse on eight acres, where they founded Willowhill Farm. For fifteen years they grew and sold plants, until all of their help (aka their kids) grew up and left for college. To their surprise and delight, their daughter decided to get a degree in horticulture!
These days, Mia grows a vast array of herbs and vegetables in production greenhouse five.
“I love starting the vegetable plants and herbs from seeds and watching them grow to plants that add so much goodness to people's lives,” she says.
Of her herbs, she loves rosemary and lavender the most.
She also likes all the old-fashioned cottage garden plants- things like hollyhocks, foxgloves, violets, delphinium and roses.
But Mia says that most of all, she loves the people she works with. "We are all like one big, happy family!"
This spring, we hope you’ll get a chance to take home some of Mia’s seed-grown veggies and herbs to enjoy. Each and every one of them is grown with love.
