Got Landscape Problems?

This summer, we're offering four problem-solving landscape plans for free! We'll walk you through what each type of garden needs to thrive, introduce the plants to you, and provide a garden layout that you can copy, or use as a guideline to landscape your own unique space.

Read on for an overview of the plans included in this special summer offer!

Dealing with Deer and Rabbits

Although both deer and rabbits are notorious nibblers, the plants in this landscape plan are seldom severely damaged. The choices are drawn largely from firsthand experience- we've got plenty of hungry critters to contend with here at Hoerr Nursery!

Drawing Pollinators to Your Garden

Every plant in our pollinator plan was selected to attract both butterflies and hummingbirds, doubling your chances of beautiful garden visitors! There are also plants that provide food for several different species of butterfly caterpillars, which will encourage the adults to stick around and lay eggs.

Dealing with Deep Shade

There are lots of exciting shade plants available that are rarely seen in gardens. This design showcases many of them, selected to flower from Spring to Fall! Although this plan is designed with all day shade in mind, these plants will also do well in a well-watered spot that gets morning sunlight and afternoon shade.

Dealing with Dry Spots

This garden is for dry, sunny spots where you’d still like a splash of color, garden beds well out of reach of a hose, steep banks that are difficult to mow, property lines that could use some quick privacy, parking medians, business frontages, etc. Once established, all of the plants in this plan are extremely resistant to water stress.

If you have questions about any of the garden plans, or about a problem spot in your own yard, we’re here for you! To speak with one of our experts you can reply to this email, visit the Garden Center, message us on Facebook or Instagram, or call (309) 691-4561 any time during business hours.
