Unfortunately, pink hosta don't exist. Neither does that mysterious orange-flowered plant in the background.

With the rise of AI-generated images and AI integration into Photoshop, we've seen a surge in requests for plants that are too good to be true. And, as the old adage goes, "if it seems too good to be true, it probably is."

We regret to say that "white weeping begonia" is an AI-generated plant.
|
|
|
Most of these images are created to serve as clickbait on social media to win cheap follows and likes, or to scam buyers with non-existent products. Even a casual search will turn up fake seeds and even fake plants for sale from fly-by-nights on Amazon, eBay & Etsy.

Calathea is a real houseplant, but this one is Photoshopped to have unrealistic colors, and shown growing in a landscape.

|
|
